Movie Review: Silent Hill: Revelation 3D

When I see the word Revelation.
I'm gonna expect an awesome movie.
But, I was totally disappointing.
Like,
The acting was surprisingly bad.
Like you could see the un-naturalness of the actors/actresses in the movie.
This movie's plot was exactly fine.
It didn't had a twist and it wasn't confusing.
But the plot was very very poor.
It's like the writers just took it out of a kindergarten text book.
This movie also really lack of scares.
I watched this movie so that I can get a good scare.
But, it just really lacked of it.
Cuz when you hear the name, Silent Hill.
You'd expect a mega horror movie with scares 24/7!
Now, some good news.
I loved the special effects in this movie.
Which I think they mostly spend their money on that.
From the first until the end of the movie.
You could feel the dark presence in the film.
It was so dark and evil.
It was totally scary.
You can totally skip this movie.
Even if you're a fan of the video game series.
If you wanna learn how to make a dark feeling type of special effects.
Then, you should watch this.

Movie Review: Frankenweenie 3D

If there's one thing you must first know about this movie is this.
The whole movie is in black & white.
I think I might know why.
The setup of the movie is kinda when TV still has no colour.
I totally understand that.
Back to my point.
This movie is very cute.
Like kids would really love it.
From the story of a struggling child scientist.
To the chaos in New Holland.
The movie shows another awesome job from Tim Burton.
This movie has a bit of a dark element in it.
One this movie also is that is a stop-motion movie.
It's very awesome how it looks like it's animated.
Only 20% of the movie looked stop-motioned.
Amazing!
But one thing about this movie is that it might be a bit too scary for kids.
With the dark element in the movie.
And a few scary parts.
You might wanna hold your child for this one.
This is a total must watch!
Especially for families who want a good movie for everyone!

Movie Review: Paranormal Activity 4

I have no idea how people find this movie interesting.
Or better yet, even pay to watch this.
Ok.
1 good thing about this movie.
They kinda show what happened before this movie.
Like, it's supposed to be a sequel of Paranormal Activity 2.
But, it's again the same old cliche storyline.
It's kinda boring cuz they have repeating the exact same thing since the first movie.
There's nothing special about each movie.
And people actually enjoy it.
There were a few scary parts.
They were like only 40% scary.
Practically laughed the whole way.
I think that this franchise has really run its course.
Just shut it down.
Stop making these movies.
Next year, Paranormal Activity 5.
Seriously?
Even kids can watch this movie and still have a good laugh.
What can I expect from a very very very low budget movie?
Try to skip this one out.
Watch something else.

Movie Review: Ted

OK.
Here's one thing you have to know.
This movie was co-produced and co-written by Seth MacFarlane.
He is the creator of the hit TV-series, Family Guy and this is his first motion picture.
So, back to the review.
It is the funniest movie I've watched in ages.
Finally, good comedy!
The jokes are kinda offensive but also very funny.
This movie is totally not for closed-minded people.
I'm open-minded, so I don't find it offensive.
But, I think the offensive jokes are kept on a safe level.
The idea of a teddy bear who comes to life is genius.
The idea of the teddy bear growing up and becoming an as*hole?
Brilliant.
When you look into the movie like carefully.
You can see the similarities between this movie and Family Guy.
One thing about the movie.
Put the jokes aside.
I find it rather confusing on what they are trying to tell us.
I think it's supposed to tell us about maturity.
But, I think that it kinda failed.
The special effects used to bring Ted to life was superb.
The casting of Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis was a totally good choice.
And that's it I guess?
This is a total must-watch!
If you miss it.
That's a really great loss.
If you can,
Try watching it with a group of friends in a full cinema
It will make the experience even better!

Movie Review: Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning 3D

I think I'm not the first to say this.
This movie sucked.
Like really bad.
It was here, there, everywhere!
The plot was so confusing.
By the time everything was clear.
It'll be 10 minutes before the ending.
And I'm still not 100% sure.
I'm like 70% and my friend is like 67% - 72% clear with the plot.
I've watched the movies when it first came out in 1992.
But this one was really that bad.
Even if you've watched the previous films.
If you haven't,
You'll be even more confused!
It was a huge puzzle, being solved one by one by one (continues x10000)
If you liked it,
May I suggest checking-in into a mental institution?
The only good thing is the violence.
Oh yes.
That's all.
Like seriously!
That's all.
This movie is a great waste of money (I didn't spend a single cent thanks to Nuffnang)
Please don't.
Use your money for better things like weed.
Surprisingly, weed is way better than this. (Not to be taken literally)

Movie Review: Hotel Transylvania 3D

It was a totally cute and hilarious kids movie.
The plot was really hilariously nice.
I liked the whole concept of the movie though.
The cast were properly casted with all the famous actors and actresses.
There's really nothing much to say though.
The 3D wasn't so great.
There were really a lot of humour.
They really kept the concept of the real monsters mythology.
This is a must watch for all kids with their families!
This movie will really give you a great laugh!

Movie Review: Dredd 3D

I was never into movies about people, gangsters, drugs and the cops.
But this was very different.
This movie really shocked me as it was awesome.
It was unique.
I loved the violence in this movie.
It was gory and awesome!
The plot was kinda cliche with a twist.
It wasn't the common things you'd see in a normal movie.
It had a slight twist.
The protagonist, was really badas*.
Loved her character and also Dredd himself.
They really casted their characters well.
At least this movie is not casted with the boring and common action actors.
The special effects were also awesome.
Especially when everything is in slow-mo.
It'd take you're breath away!
In conclusion,
Just watch it.

Movie Review: Resident Evil: Retribution 3D

Okay.
Again another zombie movie.
But at least this comes from a series.
I actually don't like this kind of movies.
But surprisingly I really like the Resident Evil series.
But anyway.
I loved the opening.
It was something new to me where they rewind the opening with slow-mo.
It was WHOA!
But when it continues.
It gets kinda cliche and boring.
Not 100%.
But kinda 40% boring.
It was action-packed, yes.
It was also very cliche.
Like, you'd know what will happen next.
It has awesome special effects, as usual.
The 3D-ness is not very interesting though.
Nothing to wow about.
I think the overall movie is a waste.
It doesn't change anything in the movie.
It was just a rescue mission.
That's all.
Nothing important.
Only the destruction of Umbrella.
Still doesn't make a difference.
I loved that they introduced main characters from the gaming series.
Since they have been introduced.
Something's gonna happen soon.
What I loved the most was the epic ending.
The ending really WOW-ed me.
It showed a sneak peek of what's going to happen in the next movie which will be the last in the franchise.
The original plan of the movies that it will be released back-to-back.
But it didn't.
Now, the idiots make me wait til the final installment.
In conclusion,
The movie is totally a movie for fans of the franchise which includes the game series.
If you started, you better end it. (Haha)
If you're still new, don't watch this movie til you've watched the first 4.
